City of Maricopa AZ Records 13% Gain in Properties Sold

Maricopa saw 1,114 properties sold year to date through the end of August 2015, and the average sales price of $161,841 recorded an increase of 5.0% over the average price of $154,140 from this period in 2014. When compared to the same time range during 2014, which showed 988 properties sold, the city of Maricopa experienced a 12.8% gain in total amount of sold listings, a net advance 126 closed sales. The 120,000-139,999 price category reported one of the highest numbers of closed sales this year with 260 completed purchases.

Homes For Sale Decline 3%. By the end of August, Maricopa reported 2,061 actively listed for sale homes year to date. At 403 homes for sale, the 120,000-139,999 price bracket FALSEproperties. The overall inventory of active residential listings in the city of Maricopa showed a 3% drop from the same period one year ago, which saw 2,125 homes for sale, a net decline of 64 homes. The area's average year-to-date active list price recorded a net advance of 2.6% in comparison to the same reporting period during 2014, coming in at $174,149. Listed homes require more time to sell this year on average. In comparison to this period last year, the cumulative days on market (CDOM) for actively listed for sale houses in the city of Maricopa was 87 days, an advance of 1.2%.
