Town of Fountain Hills Residential Sales Record 9% Gain

The town of Fountain Hills, Arizona reported a total of 550 residential home sales year to date through the end of August 2015 as the average closed sales price of $396,893 fell 4.2% from the same time range one year ago. When compared to the same time range during 2014, which reported 505 sold homes, Fountain Hills had an 8.9% rise in total volume of sold residential listings, a year-to-year net rise 45 completed sales transactions. With 113 residential homes sold year to date, the 300,000-399,999 price category had one of the largest numbers of sales.

Property Listings Show 7% Uptick. Through August 31, 2015, Fountain Hills showed a total of 1,270 active houses for sale so far for the year. With 258 residences for sale the 300,000-399,999 price bracket FALSElistings. Compared to this time range last year, which recorded 1,186 properties for sale, Fountain Hills showed a 7.1% improvement in the total active listings inventory, showing a net rise of 84 units. The average active list price year to date of $529,196 recorded an increase of 5% over the average price of $503,786 from this time period in 2014. The average days on market for active for sale homes in Fountain Hills was 113 days through August 31, a 5.8% drop from the average compared to the same time period a year ago. Residential listings are staying on the market less days this year on average.
